Apple has just announced the AirPods Pro, proving the rumours right.

They look like regular AirPods but they have flexible in-ear tips to create a sealed and more secure fit.

Each AirPods Pro will come with three different sizes of silicone ear tips to help users get the best fit. There’s even an Ear Tip Fit Test that helps users measure their fit to find the best ear tip size for them.

Fitness enthusiasts will be happy to know that the AirPods Pro are sweat and water-resistant and have an IPX4 rating.

There’s even a Transparency mode thats simultaneously plays music while enabling users to listen to their surroundings. Users can easily switch to this mode by using the new force sensor on the ear piece’s stem.

These are Apple’s first true wireless headphone to feature active noise cancellation. Built-in microphones on each earpiece detect external sound and then the AirPods Pro create an opposite soundwave to cancel it.

Apple says the AirPods Pro continuously listens and adapts the sound signal 200 times per second.

The AirPods Pro feature Adaptive EQ. Using the ear piece’s microphone to map the shape of the user’s ear, Adaptive EQ automatically tunes the low and mid-frequencies to create a richer and more immersive sound.

The AirPods Pro are priced at S$379. It starts shipping on 30 October (tomorrow) but availability in Singapore has yet to be confirmed. We will update this article once we know more.
