Aorus X7 Pro slim gaming notebook turbo boosted with dual GeForce GTX 970M GPUs

The Aorus X7 Pro maintains the slim build and exact same physical aspects as its predecessors, but this time round, it’s able to stomach dual GeForce GTX 970M GPUs for serious gaming power.

Gigabyte just announced an update to their highly acclaimed gaming notebook - the Aorus X7 Pro. Succeeding the original Aorus X7 and the Aorus X7 v2, the new Pro edition maintains the exact same build, weight and features like triple mSATA drives in RAID with a HDD, a 17.3-inch Full HD display and more. It comes with a faster Intel Core i7-4870HQ processor, but of course what’s really new and commendable is that the Aorus X7 Pro now boasts dual GeForce GTX 970M GPUs in SLI with 6GB of graphics memory in total. Contrast this to the original X7 model which featured dual GTX 765M GPUs and the X7 v2 that used dual GTX 860M GPUs - the X7 Pro is a monster gaming machine.

With its graphics firepower, you could handily run surround gaming off this machine and as it has three monitor outputs for a combined final resolution output of 5,760 x 1,080 pixels.

Building upon its mean hardware specs is its exclusive programmable Macro Engine that automates and simplifies routine operations, so you can record your macros and share your moves with fellow Aorus owners. Also, "G" macro keys with scissor-switch key structures let you simplify your combos into one-click-execution keys. Now, you can also run your favorite programs. Simply choose up to eight different software, and start them in one click.

System specs at a glance:-

  • Processor: 4th gen Intel Core i7-4870HQ (2.5 - 3.7GHz with Turbo Boost)
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 970M SLI (6GB GDDR5)
  • Display: 17.3.-inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) LED backlit
  • Memory: 4GB/8GB DDR3L-1866MHz, 4 slots (max. of 32GB)
  • Other notable features: Killer LAN chip, 1MP webcam, Wireless 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, twin speakers + twin woofers
  • Dimensions: 428 x 305 x 22.9mm
  • Weight: 3KG

Gigabyte will have the Aorus X7 Pro out in retail by mid-October and has a recommended suggested retail price of US$2,599 for a configuration of this notebook equipped with 16GB DDR3L-1866MHz, dual 256GB mSATA drives and a 1TB HDD.
