Another report suggests US$399 price tag for the next iPhone SE model

Purported render of the next iPhone SE model.

Another publication has reiterated the US$399 price tag for Apple's upcoming iPhone SE model.

According to Fast Company, one of its sources claim that the new iPhone is likely to be priced from US$399. In addition, parts production for the new iPhone is said to be ramping up at the moment.

Fast Company believes the combination of flagship specs and an affordable price tag  will help Apple capture more market share in China and reach out to a whole group of consumers who previously couldn't afford an iPhone.

The next generation iPhone SE is expected to look like the iPhone 8. It is rumoured to come with a single rear camera, Touch ID, A13 chipset and 3GB RAM.

The March launch and supply of the upcoming iPhone SE model could be affected by the novel coronavirus outbreak. Apple is reportedly planning to begin mass production of the phone this month, but the novel coronavirus outbreak poses "massive uncertainties and challenges" for Apple's supply chain partners
