Another report suggests no headphone jack or physical key on the Galaxy Note10

The Samsung Galaxy Note9.

Another report suggests that we could be looking at a new design for the Galaxy Note10.

A source familiar with Samsung's plans told Android Police that the Galaxy Note10 is likely to come with no 3.5mm headphone jack and physical keys (e.g. power button and volume controls). The physical keys are said to be replaced by capacitive or pressure-sensitive areas. The source also shared that there could be two models of the Galaxy Note10, which is in line with reports from the South Korean media last month.

Removing the headphone jack will free up volume within the device to fit a bigger battery, reduce design complexity and increase water/dust resistance. The lack of physical buttons would also mean eliminating another potential hardware failure point for the device.

The Investor reported in March that the key feature of the Galaxy Note10 will have a “key-less” or “button-less” design with a punch-hole camera cutout. There is also speculation that the Galaxy Note10 will be equipped with a quad-camera system on the back, though that feature could be exclusive to the 5G model.
