Another report claims sluggish iPhone 14 Plus sales
Apple is said to be facing sluggish sales of the iPhone 14 Plus.
According to display analyst Ross Young, the demand for the Apple iPhone 14 Plus is so low that panel shipments for the model are expected to be close to zero in December.
The latest report is in line with previous claims that the iPhone 14 Plus is not as popular as Apple wanted it to be, from pre-orders to initial sales. This led Apple to cut production of components for the iPhone 14 Plus and lower its production target by 3 million units.
Despite the disappointing sales of the iPhone 14 Plus, Young claims the panel buys for the iPhone 14 lineup is 10% higher than the iPhone 13 during the same period last year. The higher sales numbers of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to boost the ASP. Apple recently confirmed there will be supply constraints of the iPhone 14 Pro models due to a Covid-19 outbreak shutting down a Chinese assembly plant.
