Another report claims Apple Pencil support coming to 2018 OLED iPhone models
A second report has surfaced claiming that Apple Pencil support is coming to the iPhone this year.
“Industry insiders” reportedly told Taiwanese publication Economic Daily News the Apple Pencil would be compatible with the upcoming 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch iPhone models. The more affordable 6.1-inch iPhone would not support the Apple Pencil.
It is unclear whether Apple will release a smaller version of the Apple Pencil for the iPhone as the current model is rather unwieldy for use with a phone. Bloomberg reported in November 2017 that Apple was working on a new Apple Pencil.
If these two reports turn out to be true, the two OLED iPhone models will compete directly against the Samsung Galaxy Note series although the latter has a slot to house the S Pen.
