Analyst believes AirPods 3 will not be announced this month
The Apple AirPods 3 may not be part of a series of rumoured product releases later this month.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a decent track record of leaks on Apple's products, claims mass production of the AirPods 3 will start in Q3 of this year. This means that Apple is unlikely to announce the AirPods 3 anytime soon.
However, Bloomberg reported in October 2020 that the AirPods could arrive as soon as the first half of 2021. Kuo's earlier report in November also indicated a launch in the first half of this year.
Purported photos of the AirPods 3 have leaked in the past weeks, which reveal the AirPod Pro-like design with shorter stem and a smaller case.
