In the wake of Amazon removing its free AmazonGlobal Saver Shipping option, Amazon has now launched its membership service Amazon Prime (which includes free international shipping as one of its perks) in Singapore.
Customers can sign up for membership on Amazon's Singapore website today, and users will be entitled to a 30-day free trial. Monthly membership is priced at S$8.99, but is currently available for just S$2.99 as an introductory offer.
Subscription to Prime will grant members free 2-hour delivery on orders over S$40 on Amazon's Prime Now service, as well as free international delivery on orders over S$60 on Amazon's US website.
Prime membership will also grant members access to Amazon's Prime Video streaming service, which includes access to Amazon Prime Originals like Emmy-winning The Man in the High Castle, or Top Gear-replacement The Grand Tour, as well as other popular movies and TV shows.
Gamers will also have access to Twitch Prime, which provides in game loot for games like Overwatch, free channel subscription and commercial-free viewing.
Singapore is currently the only South-east Asian country to offer Amazon Prime. Here's an infographic that explains everything that comes with Prime membership:
