Adobe said to be working on Illustrator app for the iPad
Adobe may bring Illustrator to the iPad next year.
Bloomberg claims that Adobe could preview Illustrator for iPad at its conference early next month. The app is likely to have similar features as the desktop version. The full version of the Illustrator app is slated for launch in 2020.
The publication also reported on the progress of the Photoshop app; betas of Photoshop for iPad are reportedly missing some features and other key functions from the desktop version. Scott Belsky, the chief product officer of Adobe's Creative Cloud group, shared that the capabilities of Photoshop on iPad would be expanded over time.
John Gruber, a well-known Apple blogger, wrote that Adobe is "genuinely all-in on Photoshop for iPad" as it views the app as "a serious, top-shelf project for creative professionals". Adobe may provide an update on Photoshop at the upcoming conference too. The full version of Photoshop for iPad is expected to be released by the end of the year.
