Adobe will be investing over US$100 million this year in donations, scholarships, and partnerships in a bold new global initiative aimed at equipping 30 million next-generation learners with crucial AI literacy, content creation, and digital marketing skills by 2030.

With the rise of the creator economy and the increasing influence of AI technologies across industries, Adobe is positioning its new program to provide learners worldwide with the skills needed to stay ahead. Stacy Martinet, Adobe’s Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Communications, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “We want AI to bridge the digital divide, not widen it. This program will open doors for emerging professionals to succeed in the future workforce.”

Building on the success of the Adobe Digital Academy, which has helped countless learners upskill over the past decade, this new initiative will deliver a variety of learning opportunities through partnerships with educational institutions, nonprofits, and online learning platforms. Training programs and certifications will be available through collaborations with platforms like Coursera, as well as partnerships with K-12 schools, colleges, and alternative education organizations, such as General Assembly, a leading provider of tech talent and training, which will also offer bootcamps focused on marketing and content creation.

While most of these physical courses are currently only available in the US, the global component of this initiative would be available through online digital certification such as Coursera. The first courses are already live on Coursera, with professional certificates in content creation and graphic design available immediately. More advanced certifications in digital marketing are set to roll out in early 2025.

At the heart of Adobe’s new training initiative is Adobe Express, which will be used to teach AI-powered content creation and digital marketing. With this tool, learners will be able to produce high-quality content with ease, harnessing the power of AI to streamline their creative process. Adobe Express will also serve as the platform for delivering courses in Generative AI Content Creation, Social Media Content, and other in-demand skills.
