The new ADATA XPG Gammix S50 PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 SSD claims to have blazing fast transfer speeds, with a racecar-inspired heatspreader to keep it running cool.

Its rated sequential read/write rates are 5,000MB/s and 4,400MB/s respectively. Its 4KB random read/ write speeds are rated up to 750,000-/750,000 IOPS. The drive makes use of the cheaper 3D TLC NAND, instead of the speedier, and pricey, 3D MLC NAND. It sports the Phison PS5016 controller, just like the Corsair MP600 PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD.

Like the other previous-gen PCIe 3.0 ADATA M.2 SSDs, i.e., the XPG SX8200 Pro and the XPG Spectrix S40G RGB, the new drive features SLC caching, DRAM buffer, and LDPC error correcting code technology. The drive has no support for AES encryption. It comes in 1- or 2TB capacities. For more information, head over to the ADATA XPG Gammix S50 PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 SSD product page.
