ADATA has just announced a new mid-range PCIe-based SSD for gamers called the XPG Gammix S10.

The XPG Gammix S10 comes in a M.2 form factor and features a heat shield to help dissipate heat.

It uses Silicon Motion's SM2260 controller and 3D TLC NAND from Micron. It also supports the fast PCIe 3.0 x4 interface and is NVMe 1.2 compliant.

According to ADATA, the XPG Gammix S10 will hit sequential read and write speeds of up to 1750MB/s and 860MB/s respectively. It will also manage random read and write operations of up to 130k IOPs and 140k IOPS respectively.

But note that this is only for the larger capacity 512GB and 1TB drives, the smaller 128GB and 256GB drives will be significantly less quick.

The 128GB model, for example, will manage just sequential read and write speeds of 660MB/s and 450MB/s respectively, and random read and write operations of up to 35k IOPS and 95k IOPS respectively.

Also worth noting is that the drives will come with 5-year long warranties.

We will update the article with local prices and availability once we get details of them.
