Acronis today announced an update to its True Image Cloud and True Image 2016 backup solutions that make it even easier for customers to manage their data stored on multiple PCs and devices.

True Image Cloud and True Image 2016 first launched in August, and the latest update is intended to address the customer feedback that Acronis has collected since then. Acronis noted that the most requested features included a way to offload data from a local machine, smartphone or tablet in order to free up space on the device, and also more intuitive family data protection features to make it easier to manage the backup and recovery of multiple devices with different owners.

The update now allows users to quickly and easily move data from a local device to the cloud, ensuring that they will never run out of space to take new pictures. But more than that, these pictures and videos are now stored safely in Acronis’ cloud, which means that users can enjoy a peace of mind knowing that crucial work and personal data will remain accessible even if they lose their device.

In addition, the user interface has been tweaked to make it even easier to manage multiple devices in a family. The cloud archiving feature – first introduced in True Image Cloud – has also been improved with more intelligent file selection and sorting to ensure that your data backups are more organized.
