Acer has just unveiled two new Swift Go notebooks at CES 2023. These notebooks will join the brand's Swift lineup of ultraportable notebooks.

The two are largely similar and differ mostly in the size of their display. The larger Swift Go 16 has a 16-inch 3.2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate while the smaller Swift Go 14 has a 14.-inch 2.8K OLED display with a lower 90Hz refresh rate.

The Swift Go 16 weighs 1.6kg while the Swift Go 14 is 1.3kg. Both notebooks have aluminium chassis and are around 14.9mm thick.

The two notebooks are powered by Intel's newest 13th gen Core H-series processors and have claimed battery lives of more than 9.5 hours. Both can be equipped with up to 16GB of memory and up to 2TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.

As for ports, the two notebooks will have USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a microSD card reader.

It's nice to finally see Acer joining the OLED bandwagon and offering ultraportable notebooks with OLED displays. I know LCD displays are pretty good these days but nothing beats the richness of a decent OLED screen.

Pricing and availability

There's no word yet on local availability and pricing but the Acer Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14 will be available in North America in June and May, respectively. Prices of the Swift Go 16 will start at US$799.99, while prices of the Swift Go 14 will start at US$849.99.
