The iPhone 8 might launch without the Touch ID fingerprint sensor after all.

Case maker Nodus told Forbes it is confident of its sources' information that the Touch ID button will be absent in the iPhone 8. Although one source said that the Touch ID could be integrated in the power button, but this solution "doesn't feel like the Apple way".

Forbes also believes Apple will replace Touch ID with the new Face ID technology although the iPhone maker might have a hard time convincing consumers of the change. According to Bloomberg's report last month, the Face ID technology is convenient and more secure.

Nodus has finalized its own commercial cases based on the information provided by sources. Apple is expected to announce the new iPhones next month although the premium iPhone 8 model might only be available for purchase in October or November.
