72 awards presented to top tech brands and products at the 2018 HWM+HardwareZone.com Tech Awards
HWM, Singapore’s leading tech magazine, and HardwareZone.com, Singapore’s No.1 online technology portal announced today, the winners of the 2018 HWM+HardwareZone.com Tech Awards, in a ceremony held at the historical National Museum of Singapore.
72 award categories were up for grabs this year, with 43 Readers’ Choice categories for best brands and 29 Editor’s Choice categories for best products, including 4 Innovation Awards.
Here are a few highlights of the winning brands and products:
- PC gaming and components brand ASUS matched its 2016 and 2017 hauls of 8 awards (5 Readers’ Choice and 3 Editor’s Choice) each year, making them the biggest winners three years running. Other notable winners include Samsung and Sony, each taking home 7 awards respectively.
- For the first time in Tech Awards nine-year history, a tie was announced for the same category resulting in the Editor’s Choice Best Smartphone Camera award going to both the Apple iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy Note8.
- For the third consecutive year, gaming awards were presented in collaboration with GameAxis.com, including the Editor’s Choice Best Game Console to the Microsoft Xbox One X and Editor’s Choice Game of the Year for Horizon Zero Dawn. Two Innovation Awards were also presented for gaming-centric products: Nintendo Switch and ASUS ROG GX501 Zephyrus.
