3DMark Finally Hits Android

We knew Futuremark would release an Android version of its PC benchmarking tool, 3DMark, but it was just a matter of when. Announced way back in November 2011, it appears the long wait is finally over. 3DMark can now be found on Google Play but requires your Android device to meet a few requirements. If you want to test the 3D performance of your Android device, make sure it's at least running Android 3.1, has 300MB of storage space, a minimum of 1GB of RAM and is compatible with OpenGL ES 2.0.

Android's version of 3DMark will run a test called Ice Storm which will run three tests on your Android device in order to get a score. Two of these tests will stress the systems's GPU (graphics) and the other will stress the CPU (processing) performance of your device. Check out the trailer of the test below:
