30 fully optimised games will be available on the Xbox Series X and S at launch

Xbox has revealed the day one lineup of games for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The list runs pretty long, featuring 30 games optimised for the next-gen consoles. Microsoft claims that it’s the biggest launch lineup in Xbox history - but it’s clearly missing Halo Infinite. 

Out of the 30 games both consoles are launching with, 20 of them come with Smart Delivery. That means that if you own them on the Xbox One, you’ll get the next-gen version for free on the Xbox Series X/S. Besides that, the Xbox Series X/S will also support thousands of backwards compatible games across four generations of Xbox consoles, with boosted framerates and Auto HDR. 

Here’s the full list of games you can play on Microsoft’s next-gen consoles starting on November 10:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (Smart Delivery) 

  • Borderlands 3 (Smart Delivery) 

  • Bright Memory 1.0  

  • Cuisine Royale (Smart Delivery)

  • Dead by Daylight (Xbox Game Pass + Smart Delivery) 

  • Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition  

  • DIRT 5 (Smart Delivery) 

  • Enlisted  

  • Evergate

  • The Falconeer (Smart Delivery) 

  • Fortnite  

  • Forza Horizon 4 (Xbox Game Pass + Smart Delivery) 

  • Gears 5 (Xbox Game Pass + Smart Delivery) 

  • Gears Tactics (Xbox Game Pass + Smart Delivery)

  • Grounded (Xbox Game Pass + Smart Delivery) 

  • King Oddball (Smart Delivery) 

  • Maneater (Smart Delivery) 

  • Manifold Garden (Smart Delivery) 

  • NBA 2K21

  • Observer: System Redux 

  • Ori and the Will of the Wisps (Xbox Game Pass + Smart Delivery) 

  • Planet Coaster (Smart Delivery) 

  • Sea of Thieves (Xbox Game Pass + Smart Delivery) 

  • Tetris Effect: Connected (Xbox Game Pass + Smart Delivery)

  • The Touryst (Xbox Game Pass + Smart Delivery)

  • Watch Dogs: Legion (Smart Delivery) 

  • WRC 9 FIA World Rally Championship (Smart Delivery)

  • Yakuza: Like a Dragon (Smart Delivery) 

  • Yes, Your Grace (Smart Delivery) 

A couple of new games will also be available in the month of November for the Xbox Series X and S, however. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will launch on November 13, 2020 and Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on November 19, 2020.
