Google has announced that Gmail will stop working on Chrome for Windows XP and Vista users as early as December 2017.

According to data from Net Applications, market share of Windows 8, though increasingly steadily, is only at 3.31%. More than 80% of Windows users are still using Windows 7 and XP.

AMD's latest Catalyst drivers, 12.10 and 12.11 Beta both appear to have dropped support for Microsoft's Windows XP OS, with neither set of drivers mentioning the OS in its release notes.
