Facebook is said to be working on a new reader service that's similar to Flipboard and Pulse, and will display content from Facebook users and publishers in a format that's compatible with mobile devices like phones and tablets.

The new Flipboard update to version 2.0 now allows users to create and curate their own private or public digital magazines with content from all over the web. The update is only available for the iOS version of the app, but Flipboard promises that the Android update is on its way.

Flipboard, an app that collects content from social media and other websites and collates them all into a magazine format, has always been an iOS-exclusive app. However, it seems the app is no longer exclusive to Apple's ecosystem as it was spotted on Samsung's new flagship mobile phone, the Galaxy S III.
