With smaller 4K TVs just made available and the impending arrival of OLED TVs, we thought it's a great time to put together a PlayTest event to share to our audience on what all the new TV tech means to them in a special session on TV Evolution with LG. Here are the video highlights!

You thought your 1080p TV looks good, but wait till you see the picture quality of a 4K ultra-HD TV. That said, is 4K for everyone? And what exactly is this OLED technology that you've been coming across on websites and magazines recently? Well, these are just some of the questions answered in our recent PlayTest event which we teamed up with South Korean TV maker LG. Find out what took place!

The MHL Consortium has announced the MHL 3.0 spec. Some of the new features include support for 4K resolution up to 2160p30, 7.1-channel surround sound with Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD, and power charging up to 10W.

Samsung has launched three ultra-high definition TVs for the Singapore market: the 85-inch S9, and the 55 and 65-inch F9000. The most affordable of the lot is the 55-inch F9000, but it still costs a good S$7,499. More details after the jump.

ASUS' PQ321Q - a 31.5-inch 4K UHD monitor - is now up for pre-order in the U.S. at a price of US$3,499.
