Nia DaCosta's Candyman is beautifully presented but falls just short of that perfect score

Apart from the occasional gaps in narrative logic, it's an amazing (and equally gruesome) follow-up to the original - one where the series' underlying themes of racial discrimination and injustice come through clear as day.
