Toshiba has announced the launch of 3TB models of its Canvio Basics and Canvio Connect II portable external hard disk drives. These are also the world's first 3TB portable external hard disk drives.

Toshiba's new 3TB Canvio Basic portable external hard disk drive, which was announced at CES 2015, could possibly have broken the 1Tbpsi areal density barrier.

Toshiba has introduced the Canvio AeroMobile, a wireless SSD that lets you store, stream, and share files and media from mobile devices without the need for a cable. Weighing just 119g, it includes 128GB of storage capacity, and features a built-in rechargeable battery with up to eight hours of battery life for video streaming.

Available in capacities up to 3TB, the Canvio Home Backup & Share is an NAS hub for the connected home that brings together content and allows easy access to digital assets.

Toshiba has announced a slew of products including Qosmio and Satellite P-series gaming laptops, Satellite S40 series laptops for everyday use, Portégé Z10t Ultrabook, Excite Pure / Write tablets running on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform, Canvio Connect portable hard drives, palm-held Camileo X150 Full HD camcorder, and a USB Mobile LED Monitor.
