Sharp is also at CES 2014 to announce its TV lineup for the year. Besides 4K TVs, the company also unveiled a full HD TV that's capable of playing 4K UHD content well because it has 10 million more subpixels than regular 1080p TV sets.

Touting Sharp's latest quad-pixel and UV2A technology, the AQUOS Quattron 3D LED TV promises more vivid pictures and lower crosstalk on its X-Gen panel. Other features include 2D to 3D conversion, as well as SRS TS HD and Yamaha 3D surround sound.

Sharp is finally ready to ramp up their 4-Color AQUOS Quattron series to the 3D stage. The new 3D AQUOS LE925 will carry an X-Gen LCD panel with side-mounted LED scanning backlights.
