The giant industrial looking cooler on board the XFX GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB does what it's advertised, with generally lower temperatures than the slim but less efficient ones found on the 256MB versions. The noise level was also much lower, as the large cooler fan spins at much lower rates compared to the other cards. As with most cases, the price for this silence is the adjacent expansion slot that you would need to sacrifice.
