More Gloss Inside

Once you get past the exterior, the interior is somewhat of a mixed blessing for us. The 14.1-inch glossy screen will be either a hit or miss for some users, though we can't argue with its quality as an LED backlit display - colors were vibrant and pretty. Viewing angles were also excellent from the sides, so you can easily share whatever you're watching with your friends clustering around you.

The glossy screen may be reflective, but the viewing angles of the screen were just fine even when viewing from the sides.

Below the glossy screen, the chiclet styled keyboard was lovely to type on, though we could detect some flex. We quite liked the feel of typing on the notebook and we're guessing most folks won't have any problems with either the layout or the feel of the keyboard. What however, caught our attention was the palm rest area with its less than desired glossy surface that will leave your hands twitching for the cleaning cloth. This isn't the best of locations for a glossy finish especially when your hands are always going to be in contact with the palm rest area.

The chiclet keyboard was decent to type on though we could detect some flex on the notebook while we were typing on it.

The trackpad is capable of a multitouch two-finger pinch and zoom, but its usage is application dependent.

Note how the palm rests get smudged after use. This is definitely not something to look forward to.
