The nForce 790i Ultra SLI performed almost exactly the same as the Intel X38 motherboard running at FSB 1600 with DDR3-1600 memory. When comparing DDR3-1600 with DDR3-2000, you may be surprised to find that there isn't really any difference at all either. This is due to the latency settings between the two memory timings. At DDR3-2000, we were using the Crucial's EPP 2.0 profile timings, which were running at 9-9-9-28 2T. While we were very impressed that the board was rock solid stable at these speeds with 'just' 1.9V, you can see that a tightly timed DDR3-1600 memory (7-7-7-20 1T) is more than a match, even if technically 400MHz slower.
