Under SPECviewperf 9.0, both the MSI boards also performed quite close to each other, though the P965 Neo seemed to have a weaker graphics subsystem with lower 3dsmax scores. The P965 Platinum however, remained strong and was almost on par with the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 and the ASUS P5B Deluxe in both graphically and memory intensive workloads. However, we have not yet noticed any performance gains for the P965 Platinum as a result of its memory timings defaulting to CAS 3.
