Overclocking

The MSI NX6600 Ares was a rather average performer when it came to overclocking. The core surrendered at a peak frequency of 450MHz, an improvement of 100MHz that unfortunately paled in comparison to the 535MHz set by the XFX. The memory turned out to have the same limits as that on the XFX and managed 970MHz DDR. While the improvement over the original clock speeds are quite significant, the MSI NX6600 Ares did have a stern competitor in the form of the XFX and by comparison, it was the much weaker card here.
