The GeForce 8800 GT 256MB card started our 3DMark06 benchmark with a slight 2% disadvantage compared to the 512MB version but as we increased the resolution, this widened to around 4%. Such a margin is likely still acceptable for most users considering the difference in price, but then we tried the benchmark with anti-aliasing enabled. And the results were not pretty. By the time we got to 1920 x 1440, albeit a rather high resolution, the 512MB GeForce 8800 GT produced twice the scores as the 256MB Leadtek.

Also, if you have been following the graphs closely, the Leadtek went from leading ATI's Radeon HD 3870 by around 5% to ending up tied with the Radeon HD 3850 at 1920 x 1440 with anti-aliasing enabled. Coincidentally, both cards have only 256MB of memory. As one may have expected, high resolutions and anti-aliasing don't go well with 256MB of memory.
