Creative’s Pure Wireless Entertainment aims to bring high performance sound quality and the ease of use of wireless audio across its many audio product lines, from MP3 players to Bluetooth headphones. The Creative ZiiSound T6 speakers, which at first sight, reminded us of the Creative GigaWorks T3, is an example of a 2.1 speaker system that comes with the Pure Wireless branding.

The wireless aspect of these speakers is made possible by its support for Bluetooth 2.1 and Enhanced Data Rate technology. Supported Bluetooth profiles are A2DP (Wireless Stereo Bluetooth) and AVRCP (Bluetooth Remote Control). To ensure quality playback over the wireless medium, the ZiiSound T6 uses apt-X, which is a real-time digital audio data reduction system which offers linear compression of audio samples by a factor of 4:1.

A 6.5-inch driver housed in the Creative SLAM subwoofer, which has increased in size from the version found on the Gigaworks T3, provides deeper and lower bass. If you're unfamiliar with Creative's SLAM technology, the short answer is that a master driver moves its own speaker cone as well as two slave diaphragms, more commonly known as a passive radiator or passive cone. These slave diaphragms are not attached to a circuit and function solely because of the air pressure generated by the active cone.

Two swivel-array speakers with aluminum cones have the job of handling the high range frequencies. They are designed to handle stereo and the top speaker in the array can be swiveled to a maximum offset of 45 degrees in order to provide 5.1 surround sound while still offering the convenience of a classic 2.1 desktop speaker configuration. 

For greater convenience and ease of use, the Creative ZiiSound T6 connects with your notebook or computer via USB. It also has two analog line-in RCA ports as well as the standard 3.5mm stereo in and out.

Rounding up the list of accessories is the now standard Creative control pod for volume and a handy IR remote for control on the move.
