PCMark04 seems a little fickle minded in regards to the MK8T890 so let's try to make some sense out of the following charts. The System workload comprises of a set of benchmarks intended as a complete sub-system rundown. Over time, we've found that the System scores can vary in a great degree even among similar hardware, but we did run the test at least three times to ensure consistent scoring. Surprisingly, the MK8T890 still came out on top by a fair margin and this can be attributed to tests favoring the larger L2 cache of the Athlon 64 3400+ processor.

The rest of the scores were more or less in line with our expectations. The Athlon 64 3400+ and 3500+ both roughly scoring the same. However, you will notice that if we zero in on the memory sub-system performance itself, the single channel MK8T890 falls behind.
