Starting with 3DMark06 Pro, it's clear that the new Radeon HD 4670 has some way to go to catch up with the older Radeon HD 3850, especially the 512MB version. When AA was involved, the 256MB frame buffer on the Radeon HD 3850 (coupled with slightly older Catalyst 8.2 drivers) severely crippled its performance. Bringing us again to our recommendation that one should only consider graphics cards with at least 512MB of memory nowadays.

Compared to the NVIDIA cards, the slightly overclocked PowerColor was in between that of a GeForce 9500 GT and a GeForce 9600 GT. The difference between a reference 9500 GT and the PowerColor should be wider than shown here, due to the overclocking on the Zotac. Meanwhile, the GeForce 9600 GT proved to be significantly faster than the new ATI GPU, though higher resolutions and AA enabled seemed to narrow this lead slightly.
