Antec P190 Silent Performer Casing

Peeking Inside

Exploring the Innards: Need A Light?

Another surprising twist to this casing is the addition of an attached flashlight inside the casing. The flexible light is a nice touch, if not really necessary. The usefulness of the light is highly debatable; it's useful for sure but it wouldn't replace your trusty torchlight when you want to start tinkering with your components. The fact that you'll need the P190 to be connected to the power supply for it to work reduces its usefulness somewhat.

The snake light is tucked away at the top of the casing. It's pretty flexible and can be bent to reach those inaccessible places.

The previous drive cage system for their hard drives are used again but we have no complaints as it is still a well thought out feature. The silicon grommets which dampen vibrations are also another plus point for their contribution to the silent performance theme of the casing.

While not a new feature per se, the ample amount of silicon grommets to reduce vibrations should help in reducing noise levels.

Looks familiar? That's because it is. The removable drive cage from the P180 makes its appearance in the P190.

During installation, we found quite a bit of space (about one inch) at the back of motherboard mount to allow the cables to actually be routed behind so as to reduce cable clutter and improve airflow. As you should know by now, with such a big casing, there's plenty of space even for Extended ATX motherboards. Figuring where to route everything could take awhile, but once you get the hang of it, it definitely gets easier.

Routing the cables via the back has never been easier, as there's plenty of space with the new design. Grooves located on the panel allow for the cables to be tied at different positions.
