The P190 is definitely a well designed and solidly built chassis that should go down well with DIY enthusiasts. Antec has leveraged on their prior experience with the P180 and P182 to come up with a good product that's evident from the excellent build quality for the P190. Designed to be silent, the P190 performs admirably well in this regard. Even at full blast, the volume of the fans were not that loud. At the lowest setting the fans can barely be heard and considering that there are five fans in total, Antec has gotten the whole silent design working very well while keeping the interior well ventilated.

A goliath of a casing that delivers.

Understandably, as the P190 is a follow up from the P182, we had to compare it against its illustrious predecessors and while we did not get a chance to review the P182, we did have fond memories of the P180. From what we've seen of the P190 versus the P180, the newcomer brings some useful and significant changes to the table that makes it an impressive follow up. The Big Boy fan for instance is a massive addition that we can't miss and clearly outdoes the competition in size and noise. Added touches like the extra space for routing the cables behind the motherboard help keep things neat and also aids the regulating of air flow within the casing. Furthermore, storing the PSUs in a separate, isolated part of the chassis helps to prevent heat from the PSUs bleeding over to the other parts of the chassis.

While we do have some grouses over some of the less useful features like the built-in snake light, a dual PSU system that's more likely an overkill or the overall excessive weight of this solid steel casing, the P190 is a worthy step up compared to the previous models from Antec. At S$799 (~US$550), the P190 is a goliath of a chassis with an equally hefty price tag, making it solely a target for the enthusiast crowd.
