Yamaha's YAS-103 Sound Bar Goes on Sale Tomorrow for S$499

Yamaha has announced that the successor to its YAS-101 sound bar, the YAS-103, will be available at all Harvey Norman stores starting tomorrow June 27, 2014, at a price of S$499.

For those unaware, the YAS-103 sound bar comes with dual built-in subwoofers (7.5cm cones), which means there's no need for a separate subwoofer box. It also has two 6.5cm cone speakers, and is driven by a digital amp with a total output of 120W. Coupled with Yamaha's own Air Surround Xtreme tech, the one-piece YAS-103 is capable of reproducing very immersive surround channel (7.1-channel). It's compatible with popular surround sound formats, such as Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround.

Setup is easy too, with a single digital optical cable connection to the TV. And for those who store their favorite tunes on their smartphones or tablets, the YAS-103 supports Bluetooth wireless music streaming. If you've an iOS or Android device, you can take advantage of the free control app (HT Controller) that lets you perform a variety of operations, like setting surround modes and sound quality.

The YAS-103 has 2 x digital optical, 1 x digital coaxial, and 1 x analog audio (dual RCA) jacks.
