Xiaomi Mi 4 to come with 5.5-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 805 and 4G support?
Xiaomi is set to unveil its new flagship smartphone on July 22 in Beijing, but an online retailer might have jumped the gun by listing the price and specs of the device. According to online reseller Xiaomiworld, the upcoming Mi 4 smartphone will be priced at $599.99. It is also listed with the following specs:
- 5.5-inch Quad-HD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core 2.5GHz processor
- 3GB RAM
- MIUI V5 based on Android 4.4 KitKat
- 32GB internal storage
- 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization
- 5-megapixel front-facing camera
- 4G LTE support (1800/2100/2600MHz)
- 3,200mAh battery
As much as want this specs list to be the real deal, there are several suspicious areas to take note. For example, the product image does not seem realistic and may turn out to a fake render. It also does not line up with an alleged photo of the leaked front panel of the Mi 4. The listed price tag is in contrast with Xiaomi's typical market strategy of offering smartphones with flagship specs at low prices.
Besides the Mi 4, Xiaomi is also expected to launch the Mi 3S with slightly more rounded corners and updated specs.
