WD Offers Mac Users USB 3.0 Connectivity with New My Book Studio

WD has announced a new version of the My Book Studio external hard drive which now comes with USB 3.0 capability. Designed with a premium aluminum enclosure, the My Book Studio drive is available in capacities of 1TB, 2TB, 3TB, and 4TB. Working seamlessly with Apple Time Machine, the drive includes WD Security, which allows users to password protect their drive along with 256-bit hardware-based encryption for added security against unauthorized access to the drive and its contents.

Backed by a 3-year limited warranty, the My Book Studio external hard drive is available on the WD store and at select retailers and distributors. WD will continue to offer its My Book Studio drive with USB 2.0 and FireWire 800 connectivity for legacy systems.
