Sony has introduced its new VPL-D100 series of projectors ideal for applications in corporate, small office, or education environments.
Comprising of seven new models which offer a range of brightness ranging from 2,300 lumens up to 3,200 lumens in XGA and WXGA formats, the series includes an Auto Brightness Adjustment Function which intelligently adjusts lamp output when showing lighter or darker images, and an Auto Lamp Dimming Function which enables a projector to detect if it is left on with a static signal being fed. When a static signal is detected after a set period of time, the lamp can be dimmed to 30% of the original brightness. When a new signal is sent, the projector returns to full brightness instantly.
An Eco Mode function present across the projects allows users the ability to switch between three brightness modes (high, standard, or low). Also, by applying a new fine-tuned cooling system to reduce clouding of the bulb, the VPL-D100 series projectors deliver a long lamp replacement time of approximately 7,000 hours (in low mode).
The new D100 series models also offer 12-bit 3D digital gamma correction for images with less noise and smoother gradation. All models use Sony’s inorganic panels (BrightEra) with 3LCD projector system to deliver higher picture quality, substantially brighter images, higher efficiency, better contrast, consistent colour stability and longer durability and usability.
The new models in the VPL-D100 series are planned to be available in APAC by:
