The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 now claims the title of having the largest display ever on a smartphone. It has a 6.3-inch HD TFT display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 dual-core 1.7GHz processor, 1.5GB RAM and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Its suite of software features consists of Group Play, Air View, Multi-Window, Pop Up Play and S Translator. Other specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, LTE support, 8/16GB internal storage capacity, microSD card slot (support up to 64GB cards) and a 3,200mAh battery.

Due to its massive dimensions (167.6 x 88 x 8.0mm), the Galaxy Mega 6.3 weighs 199g. As a point of reference, the 6.1-inch Huawei Ascend Mate measures 163.5 x 85.7 x 9.9mm and weighs 198g.

As the name suggests, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 has a smaller (but still big by today's standards) 5.8-inch QHD TFT display. Its processor clock speed is also slightly lower at 1.4GHz and is augmented by 1.5GB RAM. It also runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Its imaging specs is the same as the Mega 6.3, but comes with lesser onboard storage capacity at 8GB. It still has a microSD card slot to support up to 64GB cards. Physical-wise, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 measures 162.6 x 82.4 x 9.0mm and weighs 182g. The device also lacks LTE support and has a 2,600mAh battery. As a point of reference, the 5.5-inch Galaxy Note II measures 151 x 81 x 9.4mm and weighs 180g.

Both Galaxy Mega devices will be available globally beginning May from Europe and Russia.
