Motherboard Prices to Rise in 2011

If you're thinking of getting a new motherboard, perhaps you should act on it rather than wait. An ASUS executive has been quoted stating that motherboard prices are set to rise by an average of 5 - 10% in the first half of 2011, due to labor costs and a higher price for copper.

DigiTimes - Asustek has decided to raise its quotes for motherboards with the increase rates to vary for different areas in accordance with market demand and position, according to Chewei Lin, general manager of motherboard business unit at Asustek.
