M1 Offers Carrier Billing for Windows Phone Apps

M1 today announced that its postpaid customers can now pay for Windows Phone apps, games and content securely and conveniently through their phone bills.

The telco is the last in Singapore to offer carrier billing; StarHub announced on 23 April that its postpaid customers can pay for app purchases on Google Play and Windows Phone Store through their phone bills while SingTel was the first to offer similar services last August for Google Play Store and 7 March for Windows Phone Store.

Most Windows Phone devices will have the option to charge purchases to the phone bill as the default payment method, unless you choose an alternative payment option. Windows Phone offers several features to help you avoid any accidental or fraudulent purchases, including the option to require a Microsoft Wallet PIN number to confirm a purchase. You will also receive an e-mail confirming any purchases on your Microsoft account.
