Fuji Xerox Launches Managed Print Services for SMEs

Managed Print Services (MPS) provides integrated management of a network of printers. Usually offered only to large enterprise customers, Fuji Xerox is now offering MPS to SMEs (small-medium enterprise) through its channel partners in Singapore, calling it PagePack.

One of the key differences with PagePack is the variable pricing module available with the use of the Fuji Xerox ColorQube 8870 printer. The printer is able to calculate the number of color pixels in each print and price the print accordingly. Prints which have up to 280,000 pixels of color per page, or up to 3% of the entire surface area of the printing page, will be billed as black and white prints. Prints which have up to 1.9 million pixels of print, or roughly 8% of the entire surface area, will be charged at a cheaper rate than prints with more than 1.9 million pixels of color.

Prints which only have up to 3% of the entire surface area in color (left) will be billed as black and white prints, while prints with up to 8% (middle) will be charged more cheaply than full color prints (right).
