Mac Pro to receive drastic redesign, will probably launch next year

Apple has admitted that it is presently working on a drastic redesign of its Mac Pro. The bad news, however, is that this new Mac Pro will not ship this year.

When the Mac Pro was introduced in 2013, many lauded it for its design and whisper quiet performance. It was powerful for its time, but its radical design meant that it was difficult to update. It has been more than 3 years that we saw a Mac Pro update.

Apple recently admitted that the Mac Pro was in need of an update and also confirmed that the Apple was working on a complete redesign of the Mac Pro.

According to reports, Apple has plans for a modular design that can accommodate powerful high-end CPUs and GPUs, and make them easier to update on a more regular basis.

However, they also said that this new Mac Pro will not ship this year. They didn't say when, but we are keeping fingers crossed that it would be next year.

To complement the new Mac Pro, Apple also said that they are working on Apple-branded professional displays.

Finally, Apple also said that new iMacs will be coming out later this year.
