iShowFast in action.
If you’re looking for a painless way to transfer files between iOS devices, or even from a PC to your iPhone, look no further. Online Mac accessory retailer HYPER has updated their accessory lineup with the iShowFast – an external storage thumb drive that comes with both USB 3.0 port, and an Apple Lightning connector.
As declared by HYPER, the iShowFast features read and write speeds that are faster than its predecessor.
Available in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage size options, the iShowFast has a read speed of 140MB/s write speed of 45MB/s on the USB 3.0 end. Its Apple Lightning connecter side can go up to 30MB/s (read) and 20MB/s (write). The device is built to Apple-certified standards – it is compatible with iPods, iPhone, and iPads, including the iPad Pro.
Not our claim, but yes, it can be pretty fast.
As with conventional thumb drives, the iShowFast does not require charging, and it’s an offline alternative to file transfers via cloud storage, far away from prying hackers who can compromise data stored on cloud storage services. For added protection, the iShowFast comes with password protection too.

The iShowFast is almost ready for sale – come 12 October 2015 (Monday), the HYPER team will green-light the Indiegogo page for early bird buyers. The first shipment should reach the campaign backers by November 2015, and an early bird iShowFast (16GB) should set you back by US$49 (~S$70). The regular price of the same product would be US$80 (~S$114) – this would be the case when the crowd-funding campaign ends, or when the early bird offers are gone.
The new thumb drive succeeds the iStick, a similar product from HYPER with USB 2.0 speeds. The iStick was able to accumulate US$1.1 million from backers on Kickstarter. HYPER is no stranger when it comes to turning to crowd-funding websites to offer early bird offers of their products – with the next most recent accessory being the Magic Box.
