Samsung has just announced its PRO Endurance range of high endurance memory cards that were designed specifically for video recording.

Available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB capacities and in microSDHC and microSDXC form factors, these memory cards will be ideal for in-car video recorders and other surveillance applications.

According to Samsung, its range of PRO Endurance cards will be able to deliver sequential read and write speeds of up to 100MB/s and 30MB/s respectively.

More impressive, however, is its endurance, which Samsung says is "25 times higher than previous speed-focused cards."

The 128GB version can withstand up to 43,800 hours of non-stop Full-HD recording. That's 1,825 days or 5 years!

The 64GB and 32GB cards are no slouches either with rated endurance of 26,280 and 17,520 hours respectively.

Additionally, the PRO Endurance cards are waterproof (up to IPX7), temperature proof, X-ray proof, and magnetic proof.

The Samsung PRO Endurance memory cards will go on sale from 31 May and will be priced accordingly:
