First announced in CES this year, the ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro SSD 2TB drive is now available locally. The M.2 2280 form factor drive features “second generation 3D NAND”, with support for PCIe 3.0 x4 interface and NVMe 1.3.

Its rated sequential read and write performance rates are 3,500MB/s and 3,000MB/s respectively. That's actually faster than some of the best SSDs from two years back! Of course, these are the rated figures from the manufacturer and we would be glad to put them to the test soon. It also supports LDPC (Low-Density Parity-Check) error correcting code technology that will improve data transfer accuracy for “longer SSD lifespan”.
It’s priced at S$409 and backed by a 5-year warranty from Corbell Technology Pte. Ltd., so that's plenty of value. Get yours from various Sim Lim Square retailers as well as online platforms that include Lazada and Shopee. At the time of writing, the online platforms have yet to list the drive.
