ADATA has just announced its new XPG SX930 SSD, which is targeted specifically at gamers.
According to ADATA, the XPG SX930 SSD uses "Enterprise-grade MLC Plus NAND" and purports to offer higher than average levels of endurance. Because of this, ADATA is able to offer a 5-year long warranty on the XPG SX930.
More interesting however is that the XPG SX930 is one of the first few SSDs in the market to use JMicron's new JMF670H controller, a competitor to Phison's new S10 controller and Silicon Motion's SM2246EN controller. Sequential read and write speeds is said to be in the region of 560MB/s and 460MB/s respectively.
To boost performance the XPG SX930 also employs the use of caching technologies. In this case, ADATA's pSLC Cache Technology which dedicates a portion of the MLC NAND to work as an SLC write buffer.
The XPG SX930 will be available in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities. There's a special launch price right now, with the 120GB model going for S$99, the 240GB model is S$159, and finally the 480GB model is going for S$295.
