Eero has announced that it is releasing its Wi-Fi 7 router, the Max 7, into the Singapore market. In the press release, the Amazon company says its Eero mesh Wi-Fi systems can be purchased through eerostore.sg and Amazon.sg, as well as other platforms like Shopee and Lazada.
Until now, the Max 7 is only offered by ViewQwest to its subscribers.
Positioned as a high-end addition to Eero’s lineup, the Max 7 is a tri-band router designed for “those who demands faster speeds, broader coverage, and advanced connectivity options” in their homes or small businesses.
At the core of the Max 7’s appeal are its support for Wi-Fi 7 and three wireless bands – 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz – that deliver wireless speeds of up to 4.3Gbps. For those who rely on wired connections, Eero claims the Max 7 can push up to 9.4Gbps. It’s worth noting that this is the first Eero router to include more than two ethernet ports, offering two 10Gbps and two 2.5Gbps ports.
Coverage is another highlight, with a single unit capable of blanketing 2,500sqf. A three-pack theoretically extends this to 7,500sqf, making it suitable for larger homes or office spaces. Eero has also taken the smart home into account, equipping the Max 7 with support for Matter and Zigbee, while also functioning as a Thread border router. This integration underscores Eero’s focus on seamless connectivity, enabling the Max 7 to support over 200 devices without breaking a sweat.
Pricewise, the Max 7 isn’t what one would call affordable. Starting at $799.99 for a single unit, it climbs to $1,499 for a two-pack and $2,049 for a three-pack. But that said, these are also well within the range of mesh Wi-Fi 7 routers from other brands.
