First seen at CES 2018, the new ASUS Lyra Trio has just been officially launched in Singapore at the IT Show 2018.

The Lyra Trio is ASUS' newest mesh networking system. Mesh networking systems are all the rage now because of how effective they are at ridding homes of Wi-Fi dead spots.

If you still clueless about mesh networking systems, I suggest you check out our guide here.

Back to the Lyra Trio. It is an AC1750-class dual-band system. This means speeds of up to 450Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and 1,300Mbps on its 5GHz network.

Since it only broadcasts two networks, one of them will be used for backhaul communications. This is unlike the original Lyra, which is a tri-band system and can, therefore, dedicate a single network to backhaul communications.

And thanks to its unique pyramidal design, the Lyra Trio is also the oddest-looking mesh networking system we have seen.

However, its design isn't just for show. ASUS claims that this design minimizes interference and provides better transmission and hence performance, especially in multi-story homes.

The ASUS Lyra Trio is available now and is priced at S$199 for a single pack, S$329 for a 2-pack, and S$459 for a 3-pack.

But if you hurry down to the IT Show, you can get them at S$169, S$289, and S$399 respectively.
